MLK Day of Service and Leadership Volunteer Opportunity

Join us for our annual MLK, Jr. Day of Service and Leadership on Monday, January 15th in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. King!

Students may register individually or as a group for this event.  This event is an excellent opportunity to bond with others, earn community service hours, and give back to the Washington, D.C. community. Registration will be open until December 4th, 2017 and can be accessed here.

Resources for Educators: The Higher Education Toolkit has created a toolkit for educators in preparation for the hard conversations and powerful lessons about the importance of this day in the history of humanity. This toolkit was assembled for the educator to teach students about the other side of 9/11 and to help promote inclusion and the value of diversity.

Log Your Service Hours

We’ve made it easy to keep track of your hours with the help of NobleHour, GW’s official academic and co-curricular community service record for students, staff, and faculty. The university has already added you as a ‘citizen’ within the online GW Community on NobleHour, and all you must do is claim your account. After that you can log service hours easily. Questions? Learn how to track hours.
