Learn how to research a challenge your community faces, and then design an advocacy plan to overcome it. Begin by attending free workshops led by faculty from the Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) on topics like campaign design, grassroots engagement, and coalition building. Then, write a draft community action plan. Receive feedback, refine it, and then resubmit. Finalists will present their plans in March, and the winning team will be announced on stage at César Chávez Day (March 31st, 2017). The winning team will receive a grant of up to $500 to implement their campaign.
