Academic Service-Learning Graduate Assistant (1 position)
This position supports the organization and implementation of programs and events for the Honey W. Nashman Center. The Service-Learning Graduate Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to provide administrative support for the Knapp Fellowship program, provide administrative and organizational support for community partner relationships among Center programs and the community, assist in supervising the Service-Learning Scholars, collaborate with academic departments, support communication and coordination between the Center and GW campus partners and aid in the planning and implementation of the service-learning events. The Service-Learning Graduate Assistant will be a part of the Center staff team for the academic year and will be expected to participate in the development and execution of GW service and civic engagement initiatives. A specific work plan will be created. Graduate and upper level undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Academic Service-Learning experience is required. Intent to pursue community engaged scholarship and leadership professionally is preferred.
