Civic House Graduate Assistant (1 position)
This position supports and facilitates the day-to-day operations of Civic House, an Academic Residential Community program for first-year students interested in becoming active citizens engaged in their communities. The GA liaises with the Service-Learning University Writing faculty and assists with co-curricular for Civic House. The program challenges students to learn about the unique cultures, strengths, and needs of communities in Washington, D.C. and to build relationships among students, faculty, and community-based organizations to meet needs and learn through service. A specific work plan will be created. Graduate and upper level undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Service-learning experience is required. Intent to pursue community engaged scholarship and leadership professionally is preferred.
