The Global Women’s Institute has released their latest newsletter with several events to save the date for in the coming weeks. The first is an event on violence against women in the Americas. This event will focus on new evidence from the Americas around what it takes to bring down levels of violence.

The next event is a screening of the movie Girl Rising, which will take place on November 12th in Room 219 of Gelman Library from 7 to 9 p.m. For RSVP and more info, click here. Lastly, the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Program is hosting their Annual Yulee Lecture Symposium: Feminist Theory In and Beyond the Academy on November 15th. The lecture will explore the power of feminist theories to shape culture and society with three guest speakers. Click here to register.
